The 36th Punyabhushan Award was presented to senior computer scientist Dr. Vijay Bhatkar at the hands of Infosys founder-chairman Padma Vibhushan Narayana Murthy on behalf of the Punyabhushan Foundation.
The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Union minister of state for civil aviation and cooperation Murlidhar Mohol, Padma Vibhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Padma Shri Prataprao Pawar, Padma Bhushan Dr. S. B. Mujumdar.
The ceremony also included honor of soldiers injured in battle - Raifleman Min Bahadur Thapa, Shipai Deepak Burman, Lance Naik Abhijit Patil, Shipai Tapas Kumar Roy, and mother of martyrs flight lieutenant Kunal Rajendra Barpatte - Veermata Sau. Vidya Barpatte.
